Assist. Prof. Dr. Peter Waldner | Physical Chemistry | Research Excellence Award
Montanuniversität | Austria
Dr. Peter Waldner is an Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Leoben, Austria, specializing in materials science and computational thermodynamics. His research focuses on CALPHAD-based thermodynamic modeling, phase equilibria, and Gibbs energy analysis of complex alloy, sulfide, and oxide systems. He has made major contributions to understanding phase stability, sulfur and oxygen solubility, and thermodynamic properties of Fe-, Ni-, Cr-, Ti-, and Co-based materials. With 34 peer-reviewed publications, extensive international collaborations, and recognized excellence in scientific refereeing, his work significantly advances physical chemistry and materials thermodynamics.
