Prof. Mostafa Mohamd Ahmed Ahmed is a distinguished organic and pharmaceutical chemist whose research integrates bioorganic, medicinal, supramolecular, polymer, and nanochemistry. His work focuses on the design and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, cucurbituril-based host–guest systems, and functional organic materials with applications in drug discovery, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agents, corrosion inhibition, luminescent materials, energy storage, and wastewater treatment. He has made notable contributions to aggregation-induced emission (AIE) systems, molecular recognition, and bioactive heterocycles such as thienopyrimidines and indole derivatives. With over 45 peer-reviewed publications, extensive international collaborations, competitive funding, and advanced spectroscopic and analytical expertise, his research bridges fundamental chemistry with applied technological and biomedical solutions.
