Mr. Avinash Pore | Analytical Chemistry | Best Researcher Award
Shrimant Babasaheb Deshmukh Mahavidyalay Atpadi, India
👨🎓Profile
🎓 Early Academic Pursuits
Mr. Avinash Pore Shrimant began his academic journey with a strong foundation in chemistry, culminating in a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Analytical Chemistry. He has successfully qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) and is currently in the final phase of his doctoral studies, having spirally submitted his Ph.D. thesis titled “Synthesis, Characterization and Application of Aryl Schiff Base”, under the guidance of Dr. G. A. Gaikwad at Shrimant Babasaheb Mahavidyalaya, Atpadi. His early interest in synthetic and coordination chemistry laid the groundwork for a promising research and teaching career.
👨🏫 Professional Endeavors
Since 1st August 2009, Mr. Pore has been serving as an Assistant Professor (CHB) in the Department of Chemistry under the esteemed Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. Over the years, he has actively contributed to academic instruction and has participated in multiple institutional responsibilities, including being a Paper Setter, Examiner, Roll Call Committee Member, and Chairman of Veranda Supervision. He is also a Coordinator for PG Student Mentoring and has played a key role in organizing study and industrial tours for students to Solapur University and Gursale Sugar Factory respectively.
🔬 Contributions and Research Focus
Mr. Pore’s core research lies in the synthesis and characterization of Schiff base ligands and their transition metal complexes, with a special focus on bioactive applications like antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. His work explores mixed-ligand metal complexes (notably with Fe(III) and Cr(III)) and their catalytic efficiency in organic transformations such as C3-benzylation of indoles, synthesis of bis(indolyl) methanes, and coupling of terminal alkynes with benzyl bromides.
🌍 Impact and Influence
Mr. Pore’s contributions are beginning to gain recognition in the scientific community. He has published 2 research papers in international journals, including Analytical Chemistry Letters (Impact Factor 2.42) and Monatshefte für Chemie (Impact Factor 1.613). Additionally, his research is expanding with 1 paper currently under communication, and he has presented 2 papers at national seminars. His work was also supported by a Minor Research Project under RUSA (₹50,000) titled “Studies on Soil and Water Analysis of Kasalganga River”, showcasing his commitment to regional environmental studies and applied analytical chemistry.
📊 Academic Citations and Recognitions
Although in the early stages of his research career, Mr. Pore’s publications in reputable journals with impact factors above 1.5 indicate the scholarly relevance and potential for higher citation impact. His evolving research on Schiff base complexes for biological and catalytic applications has promising implications for both academic and industrial chemistry sectors.
🧪 Technical Skills
Mr. Pore has developed competence in a wide array of synthetic and analytical techniques related to Schiff base chemistry, metal complexation, and organic catalysis. His familiarity with spectroscopic methods (presumably UV-Vis, IR, and NMR from context) and soil-water analysis tools reflects his interdisciplinary technical strength in both fundamental and applied chemistry.
📚 Teaching Experience
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Mr. Pore has been involved in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry courses, mentoring students, guiding project work, and evaluating examinations. His role in 7-day Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) for capacity building of UG-PG teachers in Maharashtra underscores his commitment to lifelong learning and pedagogical excellence.
🌟 Legacy and Future Contributions
Looking ahead, Mr. Avinash Pore Shrimant is poised to contribute significantly to the fields of bioinorganic chemistry, catalysis, and environmental analytical studies. His teaching legacy is already being built through PG student mentoring and institutional development roles. As he transitions into a fully credentialed Ph.D. holder, his research is expected to expand further into green chemistry, coordination therapeutics, and sustainable reaction mechanisms.
